Overseen by Saxonian Minister-President Michael Kretschmer, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the London based Thomas Young Centre, (a collaboration of research groups from King’s, Imperial College, Queen Mary University London and UCL), and TU Dresden. The Memorandum will see the transCampus initiative, which builds collaborative re-search relationships between experts from Germany and the UK, broaden its scope to include materials research, which includes elements of applied physics and chemistry, as well as chemical, mechanical, civil and electrical engineering.
