Data Protection Declaration for the Information Services of the transCampus at TU Dresden

  1. Purpose and Data Collection Authority
    The transCampus is a unique partnership established by King’s College London and Technische Universität Dresden as a transnational strategic partnership based on the idea of true cooperation and an intense dedication for collaboration in all fields. Guided by shared ideas, values and a devotion to research and education, transCampus enables researchers to work together beyond the means of a traditional partnership by sharing resources, combining their strength, and promoting transnational projects and knowledge transfer.

    The personal data to be collected are necessary in order to make full use of the information services provided by the transCampus. The information services are available for those who are interested in the transCampus and who seek further information or would like to collaborate within the transCampus.

  1. Data Processing
    Those who are interested in further information about the transCampus or would like to cooperate within the transCampus, can send a message using the contact form available under https://transcampus.eu/contact/. With this form the following data is collected:

    – Name*
    – Email Address*
    – Message*

    These data are collected based on §14 Sächsisches Hochschulfreiheitsgesetz (SächsHSFG) on a voluntary basis. The transmission of the entered data occurs via e-mail to the electronic mailbox transcampus@tu-dresden.de

    Alternatively, further information about the transCampus can be requested via phone or e-mail in which the same data is collected and processed. Staff members of the transCampus have exclusive access to these data. All staff members are obliged to maintain secrecy.

  1. Voluntariness and Revocation
    The request for information to the transCampus at TUD as well as the involved processing of personal data (collection, storage, modification, use) is voluntary. The consent can be withdrawn at any moment without giving reasons.

    If the consent concerning the data specified under point 2 is not granted or revoked, the transCampus information service is not or only partially available. In case the consent is revoked, all personal data the revocation refers to will be cancelled according to data protection requirements.

    I am aware that I may demand immediate deletion of my personal data.

  1. Data Transmission
    Unless otherwise provided by law or if you have given your express consent in individual cases, no personal data specified under point 2. will be transmitted to third parties.

  1. Storage Period
    The data specified under point 2. will be electronically deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary for the processing of the request for information or the consent regarding the respective data has been withdrawn.

  1. Information Right
    I am aware that I can request information at any time about the data processed about me and the possible recipients of this data to whom it has been transmitted, and that I am entitled to a reply within one month of receipt of the request for information.

  1. Data Protection Officer and Data Protection Supervisory Authority
    I am aware that I can contact the data protection officer of the TU Dresden and the responsible supervisory authority for data protection at any time.
