When it comes to future technology, Technische Universität Dresden and King’s College London always lead the way. But how will scientific progress affect our everyday life, how will it change the conditions and even the definition of being human? With the first scientific symposium, transCampus brought scientific advancement into the public debate. Over 200 visitors, many of them students from grammar schools and universities, followed our invitation to attend this event at the Francis Crick Institute on 5th of March and gave an overall positive and enthusiastic feedback.
In spring next year, the symposium will be taking place in Dresden. Already confirmed speakers are: Prof Fiona Watt (Director of the Centre for Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine in London), Prof Dr Marina Münkler (Chair of Older and Early Modern German Literature and Culture at TU Dresden), and Senior Rabbi Baroness Julia Neuberger of the West London Synagogue.
