On Friday, 18 January, the British Ambassador visited TU Dresden to learn more about the transCampus. S.E. Sir Sebastian Wood had heard about the cooperation between TU Dresden and King’s College in October 2018, when Saxony’s Prime Minister Kretschmer was visiting London. Now, he wanted to get a first-hand impression. Rector Prof. Hans Müller-Steinhagen and transCampus Dean Stefan Bornstein explained how this unique collaboration, starting in medicine, has been continuously developed over the past five years. Prof. Gianaurelio Cuniberti and Prof. Frank Fitzek presented their projects in materials science and in communication networks. Despite the Brexit, cooperation in joint research projects is to be broadened in the next years to the mutual benefit of both sides. On 11 February, the Duke of Kent, Prince Edward, will also get a first-hand look at the CRTD Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden.
