The first twelve months of the International Research Training Group 2251 “Immunological and Cellular Strategies in Metabolic Disease” have been highly successful. To mark the occasion, the First Annual Update booklet has been released, which provides an insight into what the IRTG has achieved so far. As of April 2018, the IRTG comprises 21 ambitious projects, each of which is being jointly supervised by renowned experts from King’s College London and TU Dresden. The annual update provides information about these projects as well as information about the Steering Commitee, the External Advisory Board, achievements, and events. Moreover, an overview of selected publications of the IRTG consortium since 2017 is included.
