In March, Toktam Mahmoodi, professor of communications engineering at King’s College, invited assistant professor Riccardo Bassoli to London. He gave a lecture on the theory of quantum communication networks, considering also recent applications. In addition, in a seminar for interested researchers he talked about the integration of quantum technologies in future 6G networks, describing the motivations, the open challenges, and some preliminary guidelines.
During the visit, Mahmoodi and Bassoli also discussed joint collaboration interests, together with Osvaldo Simeone, professor of communications engineering. Telecommunications, 6G and tactile internet are the main research areas where transCampus is about to expand in.
